Don’t miss out on the highlights of Keisha, Chris, and their boho wedding with trendy details.
The Love Story
“Chris and I met through basketball. It wasn’t love at first sight, but a long and patient journey. Chris was on the same adult basketball team as my brother. Their team played during the summer and had basketball games every Sunday. Being the older sister, my mom asked me to attend the basketball games to support my brother. I didn’t want to at first, but after watching their first game and seeing how good they were, I ended up going every Sunday. I was in college, so this was something I could look forward to each summer, and I did so for three years. When I first met Chris, I thought he was cute but also mean because he never smiled or spoke to me”.
“Fast forward to three years later, I graduated from UC Berkeley and moved back home. My brother Ken and I are 17 months apart and very close, so it was only natural that our friend groups would collide. One Sunday, my brother invited me to a day party with his friends from him, and I agreed to go. This was the first time I met Chris since I graduated, and when I saw him again, I was immediately attracted. You can say I fell for his amazing smile from him and dimple from him. After a couple of drinks and some good music, I mustered up the courage to ask Chris to dance with me. It was a very short dance because my brother’s other friend saw us and was completely shocked, so we immediately stopped. Before I walked away, I told Chris: Oh boy you are going to be trouble.”
“After six months of dating, Chris enlisted in the Marine Corps reserves and went into training in January 2013. For the next four months, our relationship was built on letters. I wrote Chris a letter every single day, updating him on life, and giving him positive reinforcement”.
After that incredible love story, the marriage proposal took place on a very special day, in which Chris decorated his apartment with candles, flowers, mini love letters, and his favorite sushi. When Keisha walked in, Chris greeted her wearing traditional Filipino attire and BTS (Keisha’s favorite KPOP group) playing in the background. She immediately started crying as he got down on one knee
A Boho Wedding at Acre Resort
Keisha and Chris decided on Los Cabos because they always dreamed of having a destination wedding. After learning about Acre Resort on Instagram, they knew that their I Do had to be in that specific venue.

The personalities of both were perfect to achieve an aesthetic that would attract attention and that was also fun. Keisha’s positive, energetic, and outgoing spirit; along with Chris’ analytical and introverted vibe, managed to transform their wedding into a dream come true.
For the design of this boho wedding in Los Cabos, we focused on a neutral color palette in which earth tones with accents of terracotta and burnt sienna predominated. From the beginning, the expectation was to take advantage of the desert vibes of the destination together with an aesthetic that reflected the bohemian touch of autumn. The result was wonderful.
As part of the floral design, the pampas grass was essential to achieve a boho and very trendy style, and thanks to the venue’s orchards and the cool proposal of its design, everything took on a more attractive meaning.
From the first call we connected, so the whole planning process was very fluid and fun.

They both knew aesthetics was very important, as were music and personalized details (Keisha wrote a note by hand for each guest), so we wanted the decoration elements and spaces connected to nature to be part of a language in which both could express their cool personality.
The romance and essence of their love story was also the protagonist and a great element for the guests to connect even more with this very special couple.
One of the coolest moments was the reception, where Keisha showed her love for BTS by showing some of the choreography that she had learned with her friends. It was so exciting to see everyone dance and be a part of such positive energy at this destination wedding.
The sophistication and good taste of Keisha and Chris stood out in each of the phases of their wedding, in the aesthetics, the bohemian colors, the textures, and the elements that were part of a celebration that we will always carry in our memory.
