Vogue spotted it in virtually every show at New York Bridal Fashion Week, from French Chantilly lace layered beneath sheer fabrics to full dresses, veils, coats, and details appliquéd onto other fabrics.
That’s precisely what makes it so interesting: the lace of 2027 has little to do with simply repeating the romantic dress we’ve seen time and time again. It can appear on a halter top, reveal the body through sheer panels, blend with corsetry, or form part of separate pieces. Even the most traditional versions feel lighter and less predictable. Designers such as Lihi Hod, Elie Saab, Monique Lhuillier, and Galia Lahav are among those who have reimagined this aesthetic from different perspectives.
