What is a Wedding Styled Shoot?

According to Luxe Filmography, a Wedding-Styled Shoot is a staged wedding that follows a designated theme and uses models as the wedding couple. Various wedding vendors collaborate and lend their talents to achieve the theme. This theme can be a color scheme, a consistent visual component, a certain time era, or a clothing style.

The theme can either follow a more traditional wedding look or go completely off the beaten path. In the latter case, you might see themes like Halloween/goth, space, or manga/cosplay.

Planning and Design Process

Our inspiration was pure romanticism, fairy tales, and that feeling that defines us as a brand. Dreamy Weddings are our reason for being, and even more so when we’re able to find the perfect ambiance in a setting like Todos Santos, especially in Santa Terra, a wonderful space with corners that seem taken from a fantastic story.

The Momentos team, Fátima, Ivet, and I (Saray) got together to start brainstorming. We started a conversation about what we wanted to achieve with this wedding design and this style shoot in Todos Santos. We were excited to have complete freedom to experiment with the style and aesthetic of this magical story.

Pinterest became one of our best friends. We took care of gathering the photographs that we liked the most and those that inspired us a lot! We integrated a beautiful color scheme, textures, details, perfect ornaments for the setting, and everything necessary for that romantic paradise to become the materialization of femininity, romanticism, and that touch of magic that all our productions have.

The theme was inspired by eternal magic. We know that each destination wedding must have a unique seal, an essence that distinguishes it from all the others, and that was exactly what we wanted to achieve with this style shoot in Todos Santos. The color palette helped us know which flowers to select for the floral design; we knew we wanted a fairy tale environment, and we achieved that!

The pagoda was one of the places that won our hearts, and that’s why we wanted it to be an important part of the design, without overshadowing the other details. Our goal was for everything to have a personality, a reason to inspire, and a style that looked organic, homogeneous, and very romantic.

Santa Terra: The Venue for This Beautiful Wedding-Styled Shoot

We took advantage of an invitation that came to us from Santa Terra Todos Santos to do this style shoot. From the beginning, we adored the personality of the place. We love finding treasures like this in the middle of a destination as unique as Todos Santos. The choice was very simple since all the corners, spaces, and surroundings of this wonderful venue helped us create a visual story with more character, in which all the details stood out.

The essence of Santa Terra is vibrant and eclectic, so it was the perfect choice to create this wedding-styled shoot in Todos Santos. The bohemian atmosphere, along with the traditional aesthetic of Mexican celebrations, made us completely fall in love with it. In addition, this is a very versatile site to create extraordinary destination weddings, regardless of whether they are intimate or large productions of up to 200 guests. It’s a treasure!

Their spaces are great and very inspiring. Santa Terra is surrounded by interesting details, such as boats that give it a vintage look, the pagoda, and the vineyard, a space that has an ultra-romantic personality when sunset arrives. It is a place that encourages you to unleash your imagination and creativity, in addition to offering privacy, as well as a lot of openness at the same time. All in one!

Without a doubt, Todos Santos has become a magical place with a privileged climate. It still maintains the wonder of an ancient town, but without sacrificing any comfort. It is a place that is far from the hustle and bustle of the city and invites you to peace and tranquility, with incredible locations and large spaces to host a wedding with many guests.

Fashion and Beauty

To make everything go even better in this style shoot, we needed the perfect wedding dress. The creation was in charge of Dolores Martín, with whom we had an interview and showed her our inspiration. Based on what we were looking for, she designed and made the dress.

Dolores Martín told us that the inspiration for Santa Terra's designs was based on new trends for destination weddings in the countryside, gardens, and vineyards, highlighting details, textures, movement, and volume.

The beauty look was done by Jeisa Gonzales, who used the inspiration from the dress to come up with perfect makeup and hair.

Ivet, Fatima and everyone at Momentos made our dream wedding come true, and they made the planning process a breeze. They know the venues, they know the vendors, and they were such a tremendous team to have in our corner during planning and on wedding day. We got so much kind feedback from our friends and family about how smoothly not only the wedding went, but the entire week.

Ivet is an absolute rockstar. We were fortunate enough to travel to Cabo early for 2 site visits, both of which Ivet accompanied us on. She answered all of our questions, made helpful suggestions, and thoroughly walked us through all of our options allowing us to always make informed decisions. During planning & design meetings, Ivet was always so helpful when we needed any guidance. She was also kind enough to provide some insight and guidance for an event we decided to plan with our friends and family the day after our wedding. We had monthly zoom meetings to check in, and Ivet was always so prepared with our meeting topics. The online planning tool Momentos uses makes planning and budgeting so easy, and Ivet did an amazing job of always being conscious of our budget. They provide a VERY detailed checklist from 12+ months up to day-of with tasks you would never even think of, and I absolutely loved having that available. Seeing our visions for the pre-wedding events and the wedding day come to life brought tears to my eyes because Ivet and Fatima made everything more stunning than I could have even imagined. Seeing over a year of planning come to fruition was a crazy, unforgettable experience, and I am confident that it wouldn’t have been possible without the Momentos team.

Ivet and Fatima and everyone on their team truly go above and beyond for their couples, and you can tell. I never felt stressed on our wedding day, or during any of our wedding events, because their whole team is so incredibly prepared and detail oriented. Planning a destination wedding can be challenging and stressful at times, but having a top-tier planning team at your side makes a world of difference! Our wedding was May 23, 2025 at ACRE. I’ve been stalling writing this review because I want to keep this amazing team all to myself- but I can’t and people deserve the same memorable experience we had so here it is!

From the very first consultation, Fatima made us feel at ease. She was transparent, listened carefully to our vision and immediately came up with thoughtful, creative ideas to bring it all to life- all with being considerate of our budget (which when planning a wedding is obviously a main focus, right?). Planning a wedding is a lot- planning a destination wedding adds a little extra layer of challenges but we felt none of that with this team. We are based in southern California, our hotel block was at Hilton Los Cabos and our wedding venue was the outstanding ACRE. From day one Fatima was incredibly organized and on it. The planning platform used (Aisle Planner) is a Type-A person's dream come true (like myself); it allows you to keep track of timelines, budget/payments, visions boards, guests/seating, etc. The checklists and reminders were life-savers and Fatima always seemed to be three steps ahead. It truly is a tool that assists in making the entire planning process smooth.

What truly stood out was how much heart Fatima puts into her work and passion for her clients. She also has excellent relationships with vendors she worked with for our wedding- which I think says a lot about her reputation and work ethic. She was always accessible, calm and patient. My husband and I had a “non-traditional” wedding; we had no wedding party/family-oriented customs; Fatima always reassured me whenever stress started creeping in, and always made me/us feel supported and cared for.

Not only did Fatima and the team at Momentos plan our wedding, the team assisted in organizing welcome drinks at the Hilton Los Cabos the night before the wedding as well as cabanas for the recovery pool day after. On the wedding day, everything ran flawlessly—we were able to relax and truly enjoy every moment knowing Fatima and Iveta had everything under control. Everything just flowed. It was effortless. Our team handled every detail behind the scenes so that we could be fully present and just enjoy the moment with our guests on our special day. It felt like having a trusted friend by our side every step of the way.

We are forever grateful for everything they did to make our wedding such a joyful, stress-free, and unforgettable experience. I am not sure where to start, we truly had such an amazing experience working with Momentos planning our dream wedding in Cabo. The work they showcased on their social media is initially what drew us to their services and then from the moment we met Ivet and Fatima, they had such amazing energy. The flowers, decor, and every single detail blew us (and our guests) away. On wedding day, it was no different! We were brought to tears with the magic they created for us. During the wedding day, their team was with us the entire day and night making sure we were staying on schedule and had everything we could need. In true Momentos fashion - they went above and beyond with this tending to our every need. We were so impressed with everything they managed behind the scenes and how much they coordinated. I am still speechless about how our vision came to life and the team we had behind us to make it all happen!

Looking back on the whole process, I can say with confidence our wedding wouldn’t have been what it was without the Momentos team. We are endlessly grateful for the magic they created for us and how fun & seamless they made the entire process! Not only that, but we have gained friends for life in their team and we are going to miss Ivet so much. If you are planning a destination wedding, I assure you that Momentos is the team you need.
