Some couples focus on flowers. Others care more about music or food. For Christina and Frank, what mattered most was the overall experience.
They wanted the weekend to feel connected and enjoyable for everyone attending. Not just a beautiful wedding day, but a full celebration that made sense from beginning to end.
From the start, the plan was clear. A welcome gathering to bring everyone together, a wedding at Acre Resort full of color and personality, and a relaxed oceanfront gathering to close the weekend. Everything reflected Christina’s vibrant personality and their desire to create something joyful and authentic.
Planning a Wedding at Acre Resort, San Jose del Cabo
From our first call, the process felt easy. We connected right away, and everything flowed naturally.
From the start, we worked closely together, building each decision step by step. Christina had a strong sense of color and personality, and together we shaped that into a celebration that felt cohesive across all three days. As an experienced wedding planner, my focus was always on ensuring the design, timeline, and guest experience worked in concert.
Our calls usually started with casual conversation and quickly moved into real decisions. Layout, vendor selections, schedule, priorities. That level of trust made the process smooth and clear.

Christina is warm, expressive, and full of color, and that translated directly into the floral design. The goal wasn’t volume, but impact. We chose pieces that added presence and personality, giving the overall look more character while working naturally with the setting.
The celebration unfolded over three days, each one with a different purpose.
The weekend began with a welcome cocktail at the Hilton Los Cabos, where most guests were staying. It created a comfortable way for everyone to reconnect and settle into the weekend.
The wedding day followed, and the next day the group gathered again in a more relaxed setting overlooking the ocean. There was no strict schedule. Just time to enjoy the view, spend time together, and relive the best moments from the night before. It became one of the highlights of the weekend.

Choosing the right team was important. Christina connected immediately with her photographer because of his personality and presence. Wedding content was also a priority, and having Indra from Ever After there ensured the day was documented in a way that felt natural and true to the experience.
A Colorful Ceremony and Warm Reception
The bride’s getting-ready session took place at the Hilton Los Cabos, while the ceremony and reception were held at Acre Resort. Christina was drawn to Acre from the beginning because of its lush, jungle-like setting.
Color played a major role in the design. Instead of competing with the natural greenery, we worked with it. The ceremony layout was positioned to use the surrounding landscape as part of the visual story.

After the ceremony, mariachi music began to play and guided guests directly into the cocktail hour. The transition felt festive and natural. A mezcal tasting added a meaningful touch that connected the celebration to Mexico without interrupting the flow of the evening.
One of the most special moments was the reception reveal. Christina and Frank walked in together to see the space fully set for the first time. Seeing their reaction after months of planning made it all worth it.
The reception design combined warm lighting, hanging lamps, colorful stationery, and a color palette that felt vibrant yet refined.
As the night continued, a live saxophonist joined the DJ, bringing strong energy to the dance floor. A churro cart and a popsicle cart surprised guests and kept the celebration lively.
