When I think back on Jasmine and Jeremy’s wedding weekend, the first thing that stands out is the energy of the couple and the entire group.
From the beginning, Jasmine and Jeremy were very clear about the type of experience they wanted to create. They cared deeply about aesthetics and design, but they also wanted their wedding to feel fun, interactive, and memorable for the people they love.
As two military professionals with demanding careers, they understand the value of spending meaningful time with family and friends. Bringing more than 100 guests to Los Cabos was about creating an opportunity for everyone to reconnect, celebrate, and share experiences.
From the very first conversation, Jasmine and Jeremy wanted one thing above all else: a weekend their guests would still be talking about months later.
The answer became a celebration that balanced sophisticated design, meaningful moments, and an incredible amount of energy.
Falling in Love with Sunset Monalisa Wedding Venue
The first stage in our process is always to secure the venue and the host hotel. Once we understood what Jasmine and Jeremy envisioned for their wedding, we presented several venue options across Los Cabos. Sunset Monalisa stood out immediately; it has been one of the most iconic wedding venues in Los Cabos for decades, perched on the cliffs with a spectacular view of the Arch.
The moment you stand there with that view before you, you understand why.
With a backdrop like that, our goal was to frame the view, not compete with it. That instinct shaped Jasmine’s confidence in keeping the design simple and clean.
Sunset Monalisa set the tone for everything that followed.
Designing a Wedding Weekend, Not Just a Wedding Day
Jasmine and Jeremy knew from the start that they wanted their wedding to be a full weekend experience, with time for their guests to celebrate and enjoy Los Cabos together, not just one evening.
With guests traveling from different parts of the country, they wanted to create real opportunities for family members to reconnect and new friendships to form throughout the weekend.
Garza Blanca Cabo San Lucas was the host hotel for the weekend. The celebrations officially began with a welcome gathering at Orange Tree Terrace, where guests could relax, enjoy cocktails, live music, and begin connecting. It was the perfect way to kick off the celebration.

The following evening, everyone came together again for a rehearsal dinner at Chambao. What I love about this spot is that when the timing is planned around their live show, dinner naturally becomes an experience in itself. It’s not just dinner; it’s entertainment woven into the night.
Depending on the season, guests might enjoy live guitar performances, fashion-style presentations, fire dancers, and other immersive elements that evolve throughout the evening. All of this unfolds while guests are enjoying incredible food and drinks, creating a dynamic atmosphere that invites celebration without feeling forced. Chambao has this unique balance: it feels like a restaurant, but one that transitions into a vibrant, high-energy environment with a DJ and a party-ready vibe, and the night only got louder from there.

This is something I love most about planning a wedding weekend: every gathering becomes its own scene, building on the one before it. What stayed with me the most was the energy of this group. It was the same from the welcome party to the rehearsal dinner, to the wedding day itself, just genuinely fun people who showed up ready to celebrate every single time.
Taking Time to Enjoy the Journey
Being present mattered to them more than having a packed schedule.
Like many couples planning destination weddings, Jasmine and Jeremy didn’t want the weekend to feel rushed. So we built moments into the timeline where they could simply pause, enjoy the experience, and be present.
A few days before the wedding, we arranged a private beach photography session for just the two of them.

The photographs were beautiful, but what I remember most is the opportunity it gave them to simply be together before the excitement of the celebration officially began.
A Design Vision Rooted in Simplicity
While guest experience was a major priority, aesthetics were equally important.
Jasmine had a very clear vision for the overall design from the beginning. She was drawn to a sophisticated black-and-white color palette accented with touches of gold, creating an atmosphere that felt elegant, timeless, and modern.
One of the things I admired most about her approach was her confidence in simplicity.
Rather than overwhelming the venue with décor, we focused on creating visual impact through thoughtful details. Clean lines, candlelight, elegant stationery, calla lilies, personalized elements, and carefully selected accents created a cohesive design that felt refined without ever feeling excessive.
The ceremony beautifully embraced this philosophy. White florals, black chairs, flowing ribbon details, and Sunset Monalisa’s iconic views created a setting that felt polished and sophisticated while allowing the natural beauty of the venue to remain the focal point.

The reception continued the same visual story. Candlelight added warmth throughout the space while carefully selected design elements reflected the couple’s personalities and journey together.
It felt like them, start to finish.
A Ceremony Designed Around Participation
One of the things that made this wedding so unique was the way Jasmine and Jeremy involved their guests throughout the celebration.
From the beginning, they didn’t want family and friends to witness the wedding. They wanted them to feel part of it.
I loved this moment so much. Instead of the traditional ring exchange, the rings had been secretly attached beneath a guest’s chair before the ceremony even began. When that guest was called up to bring the rings to the altar, you could see the surprise ripple through the entire group; nobody saw it coming, and it was one of the most fun moments I’ve witnessed at a ceremony.
Another unforgettable moment involved a push-up challenge inspired by the couple’s military backgrounds. What could have been a traditional ceremony instantly became something far more personal as guests laughed, cheered, and participated in the experience.
Minimal in Design, Maximum in Experience
If I had to describe this wedding in a single sentence, it would be this:

Visually, the celebration stayed clean and understated. But the experience itself was packed with surprises, entertainment, and interactive moments that kept guests engaged from beginning to end.
Throughout cocktail hour, guests discovered personalized details that reflected the couple’s story. Customized stir sticks featured military insignias and illustrations of their beloved pets. Meaningful tributes, family photographs, and personalized touches encouraged conversation and connection.
Then came the reception, where Jasmine and Jeremy introduced “Table Captains” for each table, a small touch that immediately sparked interaction, laughter, and a little friendly competition. What followed was pure energy, the kind that takes over a room and doesn’t let up.
Tequila shots.
Live music.
Dance competitions.
Sparklers.
Money guns.
Fireworks.
A packed dance floor.
The money guns had everyone laughing; watching the whole group scramble for bills on the dance floor is one of those moments that sums up how much fun this group was.
The energy never stopped, yet despite all the entertainment, the wedding never lost its sense of sophistication. Somehow it all worked together, the elegance and the energy, without one taking away from the other. You could feel them in every part of it, the quiet moments and the loud ones.
