From the very first conversation, it was clear that Cherrelle and Ayinde wanted to create a celebration that felt layered, personal, and immersive. One that unfolded over several days, allowing every moment to have its own meaning.
Their wedding at Viceroy, in San Jose del Cabo, became exactly that: a series of experiences, each one reflecting who they are and how they connect with the people around them.
Every wedding we design is approached with a strong focus on how each day is experienced.
With Cherrelle and Ayinde, this came through in a multi-day wedding celebration where each event had its own identity while still feeling connected as part of a larger story.
From our first conversations, there was an immediate connection. Cherrelle has a strong bond with Mexico, having lived here for a period of time, and that naturally influenced many of the decisions throughout the planning.
Planning a Wedding at Viceroy San Jose del Cabo
Our approach is always centered on incorporating details that reflect each couple’s story and bringing those elements into the overall experience.
For Cherrelle and Ayinde’s wedding at Viceroy, it was important to include details that felt personal and to carry them across each moment of the multi-day wedding in Los Cabos.
From the moment guests arrived, those details were already present. The wedding welcome bags included elements that reflected both of them: from personal treats tied to Cherrelle’s childhood to mini bottles of sparkling wine, setting the tone for the days ahead.
The wedding was hosted at Viceroy Los Cabos, where guests stayed and where the main celebration took place.
Each setting throughout the weekend was selected with intention, allowing the experience to unfold across different environments while remaining cohesive as a whole.
The Wedding Weekend: 4 Days Celebrating Love
The wedding weekend unfolded over several days, each one with its own atmosphere, yet all connected through the details that mattered most to them.
It began in the Art District of San José del Cabo with a photo session that felt relaxed and personal, setting the tone for everything that followed.
That evening, guests gathered at Chambao. What started as an intimate dinner naturally evolved into a lively celebration. Champagne was sent to the couple throughout the night, each arrival marked by sparklers, building a sense of energy that carried through the entire evening.
The following day, the celebration moved onto the water with a boat experience aboard the Pelican Boat.
Sparkling wine was present throughout the experience, with a curated selection chosen specifically for the day. Cherrelle surprised Ayinde with pizzas, a simple and playful moment that, along with the limoncello, referenced their engagement in Italy.
This beach wedding day took place at Viceroy Los Cabos.
After the ceremony and their photo session, Cherrelle and Ayinde took a moment for themselves, where they opened a bottle that had been gifted during their engagement, one they had saved for this exact moment.
As the evening unfolded, a series of moments gave shape to the celebration.
During one of the songs, Ayinde surprised Cherrelle by stepping in with the saxophone, turning the moment into something completely unexpected and emotional.
The second bridal look also became part of that transition. Designed by Dolores Martin, it brought in a different energy for the night while remaining connected to the overall experience.
A champagne tower marked one of the key moments of the evening. Cherrelle opened the bottle with a saber, the champagne filled the tower, and the moment naturally led into a sequence of fireworks, first at ground level, and then lighting up the sky.
Later in the evening, an Italian dessert was served, bringing in another reference to their story.
The weekend came to a close with an intimate dinner at Sunset Monalisa, one of the most iconic settings in Los Cabos.
With a smaller group of close family and friends, the evening felt calm and beautifully paced.
The following morning, Cherrelle had a more relaxed photo session; a quiet continuation of the celebration.
Designing a Beach Wedding
The design approached each moment with clarity, allowing every space to feel connected while still having its own presence.
The wedding ceremony took place on the beach, where Cherrelle and Ayinde envisioned a spiral layout: a setting that felt intimate and different in its flow. The design was kept entirely in white, creating a clean and focused atmosphere around the moment itself.
The overall color scheme and look were kept in white, while guests followed a pastel dress code, bringing soft color into the space.
The setting itself played an important role.
Viceroy Los Cabos is defined by a modern architectural aesthetic. Clean lines, open spaces, and reflective water elements that shape the atmosphere. Rather than competing with it, the design worked alongside it, allowing those elements to become part of the overall experience.

Following the ceremony, the celebration transitioned to the rooftop, where dinner and dancing took place.
The shift in location introduced a different energy, moving from an intimate setting by the ocean into a more elevated and open space for the evening.
Florals and design elements were carried through with a sense of continuity, allowing the experience to feel cohesive without repetition.

Fashion played an important role throughout the weekend. Each look was carefully chosen to reflect the tone of each event.
One of the most meaningful design elements was Cherrelle’s second bridal look.
Spending time in Mexico had been an important part of her life, and it felt natural for her to reflect that in the way she chose to dress for the wedding day.
We introduced her to Dolores Martin, a Mexican designer based in La Paz, whose work immediately resonated with her.
During one of her visits, my team and I made a day trip to La Paz for her fittings, turning it into a meaningful part of the experience.
The experience itself became part of the process, a moment connected to the destination.
On the wedding day, Dolores was there assisting her through each look change, ensuring everything transitioned smoothly.
Seeing her move into a second look created locally added another layer to the overall experience.
Wedding photography was also a key part of the overall narrative.
After reviewing different directions, we introduced them to Fer Juaristi, whose artistic and spontaneous approach aligned with what they were looking for. His work was complemented by Ricordo Films, creating a cohesive visual story throughout the wedding weekend.
Working with Cherrelle and Ayinde was truly a meaningful experience. Over time, our conversations and the planning process created a natural connection that has continued beyond the wedding.
“From the very first conversation, we didn’t just feel taken care of — we felt understood.” — Cherrelle & Ayinde
