When two cultures come together in one of the most breathtaking wedding destinations, you can expect nothing less than magic. Showbo and Christian chose Los Cabos not just for its views, but for the experience, the food, the energy, and the memories they could create alongside their loved ones.
Their wedding was a stunning blend of boho style and glamorous accents, featuring heartfelt moments, unforgettable music, and a strong sense of intention behind every detail. From the ceremony to the Kurdish dances, this Boho-Glam Wedding was emotional, stylish, and one to remember. Join us to be part of this beautiful love story.
The Proposal
Christian proposed during a visit to North Carolina, where they had gone to see Showbo’s sister. After a fun night out, they took a walk on the beach. Waiting for them was a blanket covered in flowers. As the sun set behind them, Christian got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. It was intimate, simple, and unforgettable—just like the wedding that followed.
The Planning
For Showbo and Christian, the most important things were clear from the start: décor, music, ambiance, food, and punctuality. They wanted their wedding to reflect who they are as a couple, so they chose The Cape, a Thompson Hotel, a venue that offered everything in one place—an amazing view, great food, and the convenience of staying on site.
Set on the Sea of Cortez with the iconic Arch of Cabo San Lucas as its backdrop, The Cape is one of the most breathtaking hotels in the area. Its modern architecture, sophisticated design, and panoramic ocean views create an atmosphere that is both chic and relaxed—perfect for couples who want a stylish yet laid-back destination wedding. The seamless blend of luxury and nature made it the perfect canvas for Showbo and Christian’s boho-glam vision.

From the start, they valued clarity and organization, and as we moved forward, that evolved into a beautiful partnership built on trust and creativity. The monthly meetings, calls, emails, and messages helped everything flow naturally. Once Showbo knew she could trust the team, the planning became a true collaboration that went beyond expectations.
One of the most memorable parts of working on this wedding was creating a design that captured both their personalities and exceeded what they had imagined. That trust between the planner and the couple is what made everything possible and what made the entire experience so rewarding.

The Design
The vibe was clear: a boho-glam celebration. Think pampas, soft neutrals, and a pop of contrast. The color scheme included white, beige, black, and touches of gold. But what really made the design special was the variety of textures and thoughtful combinations.
The floral design and décor were a beautiful balance of earthy textures and refined details. Pampas grass and dried botanicals added a natural, organic feel to the celebration, while fresh florals in soft neutral tones brought in a sense of romance and delicacy.
To elevate the overall look, crystal chandeliers were incorporated, adding just the right amount of glam. A sleek black wooden sweetheart table gave the setup a modern edge, and a custom wooden champagne wall cleverly doubled as the seating chart, making it both interactive and stylish.
It was a perfect blend of earthy and luxurious, bold yet timeless. The décor spoke to who they are as a couple—refined but relaxed, with an eye for details that feel both elevated and personal. We loved every single aspect of the atmosphere.
The I Do
The ceremony was full of emotions, starting with a beautiful surprise. Just before Showbo walked down the aisle, a voice recording she had prepared played for Christian, sharing her feelings and setting the tone for what was about to come. It was deeply personal, unexpected, and touching—a moment no one will forget.
The highlight of the evening? Their first dance. They nailed the Dirty Dancing routine in a way that had everyone cheering. It was fun, passionate, and full of personality, just like them. Adding personal touches to every single phase of the big day is essential to create your own kind of perfection, and these two gave a masterclass on the subject.
As the night continued, guests enjoyed heartfelt speeches and an incredible firework display during the cake cutting, all set to A Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay. Later, the dance floor came alive with a celebration of cultures. Kurdish music and traditional dances honored the bride’s Kurdish heritage and added an extra layer of meaning to the party.
The Culinary Experience
For Showbo and Christian, food was not just another detail—it was the heart of the celebration. They wanted their guests to savor authentic flavors and experience a menu that felt both elevated and personal.
The cocktail hour featured local ceviche on corn tostadas, crispy chicken thighs, cochinita pibil corn sopes, and vegetarian mushroom tinga. Guests enjoyed an international open bar with a curated selection of wines and signature cocktails: his was an Old Fashioned with Bulleit Bourbon, and hers was the Smoky Sandia, a mezcal-based drink with chipotle, watermelon, and lemongrass.
Sharing food they loved with their closest people was just as meaningful to them as the vows themselves, turning every bite into a memory.

The Music & Atmosphere
Every wedding has a soundtrack, and this one was unforgettable. From the moment guests arrived, music played an essential role in setting the mood. The DJ curated every moment of the celebration—starting with relaxed beats during cocktail hour, moving into timeless classics for dinner, and finally filling the dance floor with high-energy tracks that kept the party alive until late into the night.
For Showbo and Christian, music was also a bridge between cultures. International hits blended seamlessly with timeless favorites, and when the Kurdish beats began, the dance floor exploded with joy. These traditional songs connected generations, making everyone—from family elders to friends—part of the celebration. The atmosphere was electric, emotional, and above all, a true reflection of the couple’s story.
Trends We Loved
This wedding reminded us that blending different styles is a trend worth keeping. Mixing boho elements with glam finishes might seem unexpected, but when done right, it creates something unique and stylish. Don’t be afraid to break the mold—there’s beauty in bold choices.
Cultural elements also bring a meaningful touch to destination weddings. Whether it’s through music, rituals, or food, celebrating heritage is a way to make the day even more personal. Make your wedding an extension of yourself and your beautiful love story!
