Designing Kobi and Riley’s big day was a creative journey that we truly enjoyed. We know how important it is to reflect the personality, style, and aesthetics of the couples who trust us, and this wedding was filled with inspiration, ideas, trends, and plenty of fun details. We’re sure you’ll love this wedding 70s-themed wedding inspired by the romantic groove of the 70s —an unforgettable “I DO” in Los Cabos for them and us!
The Process
Having the chance to work with couples like Kobi and Riley is a gift! As professional wedding planners, we love getting to know our couples, understanding their dreams and expectations, and turning them into reality. That’s exactly what we did with this magical “I DO.”
From the beginning, communication with Kobi and Riley was fluid and clear. They knew they wanted their wedding on the beach, with the reception on a rooftop terrace offering extraordinary views, and all within the same venue where their family and friends would be staying. The location had to be modern, stylish, and elegant.
They wanted live DJ music, delicious food, organized events, charming details, and a fun atmosphere. With this vision in mind, we designed, created, and planned a journey back in time — the result was extraordinary!

Designing a 70s-themed Wedding
To bring Kobi and Riley’s vision to life, we embraced romanticism with pastel tones, the bold drama of disco balls, heart-shaped sunglasses, and an energetic playlist that perfectly captured the 70s vibe.
They envisioned a disco party, reminiscent of the 70s, infused with retro touches while maintaining modern elements like the seating chart design and the timeless elegance of white as the base color.
No Cabo destination wedding is complete without a creative process filled with design and inspiration. For this couple’s 70s-themed wedding, we selected a soft color palette with subtle hues that added a romantic touch, while disco balls brought the 70s to life.
Disco balls adorned the dance floor, served as centerpieces, and decorated the cake table. One of the most unique elements was the vintage phone guest book —an original detail that wowed everyone.
For a modern twist, we introduced a champagne wall as a seating chart, a fun visual for both the couple and the guests to find seats at this incredibly lively wedding. The timeless spirit was highlighted by a two-tiered wedding cake and an immaculate white dance floor. Exquisite!
The I DO Experience
Our best advice to couples is to incorporate fun experiences that allow guests to connect with the destination, enhancing the wedding day’s vibe.
For Kobi and Riley’s 70s-inspired wedding, the location for the event was Garza Blanca Resort & Spa, with the ceremony and cocktail hour held on the beach, framed by the blue sea and palm trees that added a tropical touch to the romantic groove wedding.

Afterward, guests were guided to the rooftop terrace for the reception, where they were welcomed by the champagne wall seating chart and a dazzling array of disco balls that transformed the space into a fun, light-filled 70s experience.
The celebrations began with a welcome party on a boat, where guests were greeted with a wedding newspaper program (a trend we love!) while DJ music played, followed by dinner and a party on board.
After the boat dinner, the couple had some well-deserved rest before the incredible wedding day that awaited them.

The bride’s Getting Ready Session took place in a charming suite where she and her bridesmaids began the magical day with a toast.
The ceremony was held on the beach, framed by the blue sea. The exchange of vows was heartfelt and one of our favorite moments. Afterward, guests enjoyed a cocktail with stunning ocean views, shaded by palm trees that added a cool, tropical touch to this romantic groove wedding.
The mariachi music, alongside a menu of ceviches, mini empanadas, tuna tartare, and mini cheesecakes, created an unforgettable experience.
As the evening progressed, guests were guided to the rooftop terrace, known for its incredible views. There, they were welcomed by the champagne wall seating chart and a dazzling array of disco balls that transformed the space into a fun, light-filled 70s experience!
